Suede

Suede is the reverse side of smooth calfskin. It is durable and does not often scuff.
  • Before first wear, apply a waterproofing suede spray to protect from stains and water.
  • Use the rubber side of our suede tool to remove any stuck-on debris from the upper.
  • Use the opposite side of the tool that has bristles to brush the nap of the suede in the same direction.
  • Finish with waterproofing suede spray for added protection.

Brush-off Leather

This two-tone leather is painted with a top coat and then hand-burnished to create stripes or marbling.
  • Remove surface dirt and dust from the shoes with the large horsehair brush.
  • Apply the leather cream using our small dauber brush in circular motions. Work the cream into the skin using our polishing cloth to restore the leather’s luster.
  • This leather has been hand-painted by an Italian tannery. The shoes will naturally patina with wear as to reveal the bottom color of the leather, which gives a hand-crafted appearance.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather

Vegetable tanning is a traditional process by which natural cowhide is treated with plant-based tannins so that it develops a patina over time.
  • Do not use any leather soaps, cleaners, or conditioners that contain lanolin.
  • Bear in mind that besides regular sun exposure, natural grease, moisture and sweat from your hands will have a darkening effect on the leather.
  • When not in use, store your shoes in a box or cotton dust bag, NOT plastic bags, to let the leather breathe.
  • To clean: Remove surface dirt and dust using the large horsehair brush. Apply a small amount of leather cream using the small dauber brush. Use the polishing cloth to work cream into the skin to restore shine

White Wedge Soles

Never compromise comfort for fashion - choose both with our chunky rubber sole flatforms.
  • Wipe down the wedge with warm soapy water to remove dirt and brighten the white color.
  • Clorox wipes or a wet Magic Eraser are also useful for cleaning.
  • For stubborn marks, we suggest using a piece of fine sand paper directly on the mark itself. Your cobbler can also do light sanding to remove marks.

Sneakers

Keep your sneaks looking smart with a few tips and tricks.
  • Jason Markk Quick Wipes are ideal for an on-the-go once-over.
  • For the rubber soles and sidewalls, use a damp Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or Clorox Wipes.
  • To clean poplin uppers, apply a few drops of Jason Markk Premium Shoe Cleaner to a wet shoe brush, shake off and then scrub gently all over to a foam. Wipe off with a towel and repeat if needed.
  • Allow the shoes to dry naturally (never put them near direct heat). We do not suggest machine washing your sneakers. For poplin uppers, apply Scotchgard.
  • Place dryer fabric sheets inside the shoes to help draw out moisture and deodorize them – especially if you regularly wear your sneakers without socks. And ideally keep sneakers in original dust bag.
  • Knock the soles together to dislodge dirt and use a damp cloth to wipe away superficial marks.
